Fly through the sky and cross the sea
For the first time in seven years, I crossed the Seto Inland Sea and visited a special nursing home on a remote island.
To do so, I boarded a plane and then crossed the ocean on a ferry.
Enjoy the feeling of traveling.
Thirty years ago, I was called to the deputy mayor of this Setouchi island, crossed the sea, and visited a remote island.
After the bubble burst, in order to create a health center for the elderly on the planned site of the seaside park.
The ferry at the scheduled boarding time was a gasoline carrier, so I could not board.
He called the office saying that he would be late and was told that he should wait at the port.
After 15 minutes, a jet boat comes towards us from far away.
They came to pick me up on the city hall’s emergency jet boat.
I was told that it was usually a ship for transporting emergency patients to hospitals on the mainland.
He was transported to the island not by an ambulance but by a rescue jet boat.
That visit led to the establishment of a health care facility for the elderly on an island in the Seto Inland Sea.
I still remember the first time I saw the Seto Inland Sea and the strong sunlight.
The story after that is various, and I can’t say that I didn’t have a hard time, but eventually I will build the next nursing home on the seaside and port.
From the rooftop of the nursing home, the fireworks are spectacular, and I once set up a stall on the roof and drank with the staff.
The new graduates at the time are now executives.
At that time, half of the week I was literally flying around Japan by plane and Shinkansen to visit Koyama G’s facilities.
In that rush trip, the 30 minutes on this Setouchi ferry was a healing experience.
I was reminded at the social gathering with the staff last night.
Travel is not empty.
Not the sea.
Meeting friends on a trip.
I am not going to a foreign land.
It is a return home to reunite with distant relatives.
for me now.
Thank you to everyone at Koyama.
