Ascend to heaven

I went up to the observation deck of Tokyo Tower with some newcomers who participated in the Freshers Festival.
Ever since I went up there with my family on New Year’s Day when I was in my 6th year of elementary school to see the first sunrise of the year.
To my surprise, my family and I climbed the emergency stairs outside.
It must have been difficult for 12-year-old Yasunari, his 10-year-old sister, and his parents.
Parents must be inconvenienced.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
After that, it took me half a century to return home to the observation deck of Tokyo Tower.
I may have come on a date when I was in my twenties, but I doesn’t remember it.
Isn’t this what people in my hometown of Tokyo are like?
When I lived in Roppongi Hills, I enjoyed the lighting of Tokyo Tower every day instead of watching the sunset.
The height of Tokyo Tower, including the antenna, is 333 meters.
The observation deck is 250 meters high.
However, the Mori Building that can be seen right next door is 330 meters tall.
It’s higher than the observation deck.
Students on school trips would probably go to the Sky Tree now.
Competition for height is futile.
Apparently the height competition for the Empire State Building in New York was like that.
My mother loved the night view from the Sky Tree and would never go home without looking at it.
Although I only visited once, the sight of my mother’s back as she continued to look outside still brings to mind.
From the observation deck, I could see the newly built nursing home in the distance.
I remembers thinking about lighting the roof of the nursing home.
That was already 10 years ago.
I wonder if the newcomers I went up with will also remember me that way.
I am carving the memories of my life with you in my heart.
thank you.
How many years will it be before I can meet these newcomers again?
Three years from now, we will meet again in Tokyo, this time as a chaperone.
Grows with young people and grows old.
Is this also an acceptance of old age?
