Disaster FM Broadcasting

I think it was during the bubble era.
It was called weak FM.
The signal only reached within about a 10-kilometer radius.
Such radio stations were born all over the country.
In fact, there are three such stations in the 23 wards of Tokyo.
One of them is located in Chuo Ward.
By chance, through my involvement in the Ginza neighborhood association, I have been a shareholder since its founding.
With commissions from the government, the station is still running today.
Such stations are expected to be active during disasters.
Koyama Group currently sponsors two 30-minute programs.
One is about Ginza honeybees, and the other is a program about disaster knowledge.
Chuo Ward once distributed small radios to its citizens, but I don’t have one.
I don’t know where it went.
But now, you can listen to it nationwide over the internet.
The internet may temporarily go down during a disaster.
During such times, radio waves are very valuable.
During a disaster, phones and the internet can be out of service for several days.
Hope and courage for survival come from encouraging words.
It’s the message of being alive.
It’s words of encouragement.
It is truly heartwarming that community FM stations are being created.
But to continue operations, expanding a loyal fan base is necessary.
Listening becomes a form of support.
Please do your best.
